Keeping My Eye on the Prize
This sounds like a great idea, but with another 187 pounds to go to reach my goal weight (it's 150 which is good on my frame/height), it can be really hard. It's so much easier to live in the moment and forget about the future.
I'm doing two things to counteract this:
Looking back
Looking forward
I'm looking back to December 2021 when I was in the hospital for 16 days and I'm looking forward to things like being an old lady who can still get out and do fun stuff instead of becoming a recluse who's on social media all day.
I used to hate that expression, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels," but I'm going to edit it for content and say:
Nothing right now will be as delicious as feeling great will in the future.
Capital G great means living with fewer aches and pains; sleeping and actually feeling rested; no longer telling myself I'll do something after work but bailing on it because it's just too much; and being excited about doing more than just working, eating, reading, and sleeping my life away.
